It starts when we because pre teens….and creeps into our lifes regardless of age. We need to remember like Shannon once told…about….who are we dancing for…
I had to re play the video because I could read the notes fast enough..and the second time around made a bigger impression.
I think this is so true for every girl no matter their age. If we think about it every girl has these thoughts. But the one thing not every girl has is Jesus and that’s where we need to step up and push those not “enough” thoughts out of our minds and focus on God. When we do this we will be able to help other girls, and either confront those girls who we think are thinking badly about us or just not let it bother us.
Thanks for the encouragement and advice, Krystal and Shannon! It’s not often that I don’t turn the thought around in my head that I’m not good enough. I needed to hear that direct, much needed reminder that we are worthy because of Jesus, and we are chosen by God! I love how you said that ten years from now, we’ll probably look back and laugh at some of the things that concern us so much now in high school, Krystal. I already do that sometimes with experiences I had in middle school! Thank you again! What a blessing it is to receive encouragement from two Christian sisters!
God is amazing, and just knows what I need to hear. I have been thinking about how I’m not good enough, and really it is childish. It does remind me of the same insecurities I had in high school. And my husband and I are struggling with that now in trying to find friends. Some people our age are farther along than we are. We just married in April, and yet people in town the same age are having babies, or buying a house. And it just makes us feel out of place. But I realize, I can’t let that stop me. God has his own personal time line for us. I just have to trust God to guide me to the right people, and seek confidence from Him. Thank you so much for the encouragement!
We would love for you to know a little more about us. Check out the She Seeks Team page to learn some very interesting facts about those behind the scenes here.
