		<description>WOW. thank you for this post. I just got home from competing in my state&#039;s pageant in the Miss America Organization. I was really hoping to make the top ten this year, and that did not happen. I could not find peace in God&#039;s decision to not have me in that group this year. I was disappointed, thought I had not done enough, and was just in a slump about it, which is unlike me. After reading your post, I have found the peace I so needed. The state crown is not what defines me, and never will be. God&#039;s love, understanding and mercy is what defines me.

I think lately I&#039;ve been so focused on what others are or aren&#039;t saying that I forgot my goal is to finish the race, to run it with all my strength and love for Jesus and leave the results in His capable hands. 

I like that Paul uses &#039;finish&#039; the race not &#039;win&#039; the race as if we are somehow competing with our fellow Christians. But that rather we are running it together.
